What are NDIS plan management fees
Understanding what’s covered by plan management fees
NDIS plan management fees cover the cost of specialised support from a plan manager to take care of the financial administration of your plan.
A plan manager is responsible for:
- paying invoices on your behalf
- tracking your spending and providing budget tracking updates
- ensuring all claims comply with NDIS price limits and rules
- keeping accurate records for NDIA reviews.
Plan management fees are included under the Improved Life Choices category in your plan. That means there are no out-of-pocket costs for you.

What you pay (and don’t pay) for plan management
Wondering how much plan management costs under the NDIS?
Remembering there is no out-of-pocket cost to you when you choose to manage your NDIS plan with a plan manager
Monthly fee: $104.45 per month.
This fee is the current national price limit in the 2025–26 NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits. The monthly fee is set and published by the NDIA in the Pricing Arrangements and the Support Catalogue.
The good news is that you do not pay for this service yourself, it is included in your plan. Better still, there’s no impact on the support you receive from other providers because it’s a separate budget
How to choose the right plan management option
The right plan management option is the one that suits you best
When you are deciding how to manage your NDIS plan, think about what matters to you. Does flexibility matter to you? Would you like to spend less time on admin, compliance and managing payments? If you prefer total independence, self-managed may suit you. If you want professional support with less admin, plan-managed is often the best choice.
You can also switch between management types at any time. Switching between NDIS management options and costs is straightforward, and you can switch to All Plan Management today or whenever you are ready.
